I think this was done just to make the game a bit easier for casual players.
The timing is not really tight either, there is plenty of time to use them. Pretty hard to get a game over at any point if you grind enough for items and gil.
They removed Stella because they felt she didn't fit in with the altered story ( they didn't want to change her character because the fans already had a rough image of what Stella was supposed to be, and they though that a change would be met by disapproval ). That is probably why the boss fight...
You can't play an MMORPG offline, it's simply impossible. Those types of games are strictly multiplayer.
If you want single player, you can play any of the other mainline FF games ( except for FFXI, which is also an MMORPG ).
I disagree with almost everything there. The game is most definitely NOT homophobic, and I also disagree with it being sexist. If we included every game that doesn't have a playable female protagonist in the sexist category, the list would be enormously big.
The picture of a model that you put into your OP...I don't know who she is, but she doesn't look fat to me.
In any case, normal sized/skinny women are widely regarded to be more attractive than (ahem) fat ones, so the devs might only use the latter for joke purposes.
I have no idea what you guys are even talking about anymore.
@Anachiwo I'll have you know that I played a few games for more than 10 years. Yes, I'm serious. I don't think there are many sane people who would buy a 60 $ game expecting to only play it for three days or less.
Are we sure they're developing FF 16, though ? The name of the studio seems somehow connected to the Luminous engine they've used for FF 15. As the Luminous engine was developed for general use with SE and not just FF, they could well be developing something else with it.
Interesting. That makes me think that the real reason for the removal of Stella from the game is possibly because of the "darker" turn the plot took.
BTW, you said Stella was supposed to have the same role as Lunafreya, in the story. However, the wiki says otherwise.
It's either FFVII or FFX, not exactly sure. I'm not sure how playing less would have made me appreciate those games more, even though I grinded a lot in both of those games ( and I generally hate grinding ).
