Lara Croft is raiding the Final Fantasy world! She's becoming playable starting March 9 in Final Fantasy Brave Exivus. What would prompt this impromptu visit from one of England's elite? Probably a certain motion picture that's due to arrive about nine days from now.

Who cares how commercial the appearance is -- it's still a cool one. Don't miss Lara in Brave Exivus this month -- you have until the 22nd to get her. Details as to how are within the press release below.

LOS ANGELES (March 5, 2018) – As a celebration of the upcoming motion picture release of TOMB RAIDER (in theaters on March 16), SQUARE ENIX® has brought the iconic treasure hunter to the hit free-to-play RPG FINAL FANTASY® BRAVE EXVIUS® for a limited time starting March 9.

From March 9 through March 22, all players will be able to add Lara Croft from the action-adventure video game, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris to their roster. Players must complete the first event stage or collect daily login bonuses to obtain the playable heroine. The daily login bonuses will run from March 9 through March 21 and reward players with generous prizes including 10+1 Summon Ticket and Lapis.

The new collaboration event will give players the opportunity to battle the Apep boss during the Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris raid. Additionally, FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS characters will be reskinned based on characters from Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris including Explorer Aileen, Divine Soleil, and Pharaoh Abel - available for a limited time through gacha summon pickups.

Several new updates will be added to the game during the collaboration event as well. Beginning March 8, new players can acquire the 5* max Level Ashe (FINAL FANTASY XII) from the tutorial gacha, pick up 5* Lightning (FINAL FANTASY XIII) as a reward through the Rookie Mission and more.

FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS is available as a free-to-play app (with in-app purchases) through the App Store, Google Play and on the Amazon App Store.

This title is developed as a collaboration between SQUARE ENIX and gumi Inc. (developer of the hit title Brave Frontier). The game is available in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese (traditional) and Korean.

I know this is going to happen because she is one of Square Enix's most popular characters. Now I wonder of they will make her a guest for Dissidia.

It's good to see a collaboration between Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and Tomb Raider- and you get to have Lara Croft as a playable character- this would be the first time a non-Final Fantasy character has made it to this game, I think. This could even mean more characters in the future being added to this game also !

I hope Square Enix will include their forgotten big character, Aya Brea. She was Square's leading lady before they owned the rights of Lara Croft.

Will they add Lara Croft to the 3d Dissidia. I think she can increase sales of Dissidia if she is included. Square wanted Dissidia to be an E-Sport and I think Lara Croft will give a lot of attention from the casuals.

Square should not forget about Aya Brea though.

I have been a fan of Lara Croft. There was a time when I even had to open a mail account taking a cue from her name in naming the mail tcroft@...... I'm really getting to see her feature in this game.

I am kind of disappointed that Lara is only for the mobile Dissidia. I want her on the console e-sport Quality Dissidia. She can fight Final Fantasy characters with an ease because she had killed Gods. She is no ordinary human.

I completely agree with you, having Lara only on the mobile Dissidia is such a shame, it really would have been better to get her also on the console e-sport Quality Dissidia as it would make playing her more fun.

Lara's inclusion in this game looks good, I love that but the issue of it not being also on console e-sport Quality Dissidia is quite sad. Her fighting skills are very incredible to only be played only in the mobile Dissidia.

I'm always a good fan of Lara croft, I'm definitely going to get this and play her. Although it would have been a lot more better if she is playable in console but all the same I'm still going to have fun playing Lara, she is an ass kicker.

You don't need to worry about this too much, I'm sure that the developers are aware that gamers would appreciate playing Lara on the console e-sport Quality Dissidia. They might have something up their sleeve which we don't know yet.

I really hope you are right about this cause it is not that fun playing her on mobile Dissidia if I'm being honest.

I like how these cross over games are doing. I am sure that as more and more FF version come in we can see more inter game and external game characters in it. It feels good to have such.

Lara is one ass kicker even in all her movies such as Tomb Raider and Mr and Mrs Smith. So therefore, looking at the prospect of playing her on Final Fantasy games would please any FF game fan.

I agree but it is just not the same playing her on mobile.

I'm also not a fan or strong advocator for mobile RPG games because it's not actually up in graphics to the level of interest. That's the reason why I don't play mobile version of such games often.

Fan of Parasite Eve, huh ?
Well you can't really blame them for using Lara Croft since, in all honesty, she is a lot more recognizable to the general public than Aya.

You are very correct on that note, Lara is quite popular more than Aya both in game character and off game character. It's probably why she was ahead of Aya to feature in the game.
